If you've been told your fine hair can't hold an updo, glam waves, or anything beyond a ponytail—I'm here to tell you that's wrong. I've styled 500+ brides since 2019, and some of my favourite transformations have been with fine hair. The secret? It's not always about adding more hair. It's about understanding how to work with the hair you have.
The Real Problem (It's Not Your Hair)
Fine hair doesn't lack the ability to hold a style. It lacks the right foundation. Most stylists treat fine hair the same way they treat thick hair—and that's the mistake.

Here's what I do differently:
Texture powder at the roots (not just teasing). Powder adds grip so bobby pins have something to hold onto. Without it, pins slide out. With it, they lock in.
Product layering. I use a lightweight hydrating cream on the lengths, then add texture powder only where I'm pinning. This keeps the hair from looking dry while giving structure where you need it.
Strategic sectioning. Smaller sections = more control. Fine hair needs more sections than thick hair, which means more surface area for the style to grip.
What You'll Experience at Your Trial When you come in for your trial, here's exactly what happens:
I'll assess your hair type, texture, and how much natural volume you have
We'll test 2-3 styles so you see what actually holds on your hair
I'll show you the products and techniques so you understand why it works
You'll leave knowing your wedding day hair will be exactly what you saw—no guessing, no scrambling
Your Wedding Morning (No Surprises) On the day, there's zero improvisation. You're not wondering if your hair will fall by cocktail hour. You're not adjusting bobby pins in the bathroom. You're ready, confident, and photographed flawlessly from first look to last dance.
Ready to see what fine hair can actually do? Let's create your dream style that holds all day—no extensions needed.
